From our rigorous research programmes and practical experience, we offer the patented BT Mite Trap. The BT Trap was the first trap specifically designed for the detection of forage mites. The robust, impact-resistant trap contains a patented attractant, made from non-toxic ingredients, allowing its use in a diverse range of premises and environments.
BT Mite Traps are supplied ready to use with easy to follow instructions. After being left in position in the premises for 4-6 days, they are returned to CSL for analysis and identification of types of mites present. Customers are sent a written report on the mite species found, together with guidance on which are likely to cause a problem and require action.
Over 75 different species of mites have been found in a diverse range of premises using BT Mite Traps.
BT Mite Traps provide early indications of problem areas, pinpointing hidden mite infestations and refuges, giving you the opportunity to target remedial treatments and resources for best effect. Routine monitoring of premises for mites allows the effectiveness of control measures to be assessed, and in many cases will be an essential part of contractual obligations with your customers.
