Responsible for development of products and biomolecules based on "green" chemistry (e.g surfactants, solvents, lubricants) for the AGRICE programme, Department of Non Food Activities of Agriculture.

Expertise of Department/Organisation:
ADEME (Agency for Environment and Energy Management) has an interest in all stages of development of environmental and energy-saving technologies, from applied research to organising a product's distribution. The Agency's experts are among the most competent environmental technology and energy management specialist.
ADEME makes its contribution to :
- energy management and raw material conservation,
- promotion of clean technologies and recyclable energy resources,
- limiting production of waste, eliminating, collecting and recycling waste,
- anticipating sources of pollution and protecting the quality of the air,
- fighting noise pollution,
- preventing ground pollution.

The Department of Agriculture and Bio-energy in ADEME promote environmental awareness and energy efficiency in the farming, forestry and agro-food sectors, and aim to increase the proportion of biomass in France's energy supply and as raw materials for industry. The five programmes being conducted today are as follows :
- clean, energy-efficient farm and food production technologies,
- farming, agro-food industries and waste recycling,
- treatment of atmospheric emissions caused by agriculture,
- biomaterials and biomolecules,
- development of solid and liquid biofuels.
ADEME improves non food activities of agriculture through the scientific interest group AGRICE (Agriculture for Chemicals and Energy).
